Scope
This policy covers personal data processed through the GPS.AL website and, separately, personal data processed within the telematics platform on behalf of customers.
For website enquiries GPS.AL acts as the controller of the data you submit. For fleet data processed in the platform, the customer operating the fleet is normally the controller and GPS.AL acts as a processor under the customer's instructions.
Data we collect on this website
We collect the information you provide in the contact and demo request forms, and technical information necessary to operate and secure the site.
- Contact details you submit: name, company, email, telephone, country
- Enquiry details: fleet size, industry and the message you write
- Technical data required to serve and protect the site
Why we process it
Enquiry data is used to respond to your request, prepare a quotation and maintain a record of our correspondence. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it other than with service providers acting on our behalf under contract.
Fleet data in the platform
Telematics data may include location, journey and driving behaviour information relating to identifiable drivers. Where GPS.AL processes such data for a customer, it is processed under that customer's instructions and for the purposes the customer has defined.
Employers deploying vehicle tracking have their own transparency and lawful-basis obligations towards drivers. Those obligations rest with the employer.
Retention
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting relationship. Platform data retention is configured per customer account and set out in the customer agreement.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, and portability, and you may object to certain processing. Requests relating to fleet data held on behalf of a customer are forwarded to that customer.
