A geofence is a boundary drawn on the map — a depot, a customer site, a quarry, a restricted area, a national border region — that generates an event whenever a tracked unit enters or leaves it.
Because entry and exit are recorded events, geofences also produce site-time reporting: how long each vehicle spent inside a customer's premises, on how many visits, across any period.
